Ways to Get Involved

There are so many ways you can get involved with the DBE in Pennsylvania. Please review some of the options below and please join in our mission to help others and promote harmony among English-speaking peoples.

Donations – Local Charities and Our Senior Living Facilities

The DBE in Pennsylvania’s primary object is to donate the majority of their charitable funds to aid the elderly and to this end, various fundraising endeavors take place throughout the year.

Benefactors generally use cash or securities to make gifts to the Endowment Fund. Other ways of giving include:
• Gifts in Memory of Others
• Gifts of Appreciated Property
• Gifts of Personal Property

Because the DBE in Pennsylvania is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), donors may deduct their contributions as provided for in Section 170 of the IRC. Bequests, legacies, devises, or gifts to us for our use are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet applicable provisions of the Internal Revenue code. Volunteer

There are no paid employees within the DBE organization. We rely solely on your spirit of volunteerism. Up to 49% of monies raised goes to local charities which include women’s shelters and children’s charities. Please consider offering your time to your chapters’ events today.
